通信カラオケ「JOYSOUND」を手掛けるエクシングは6月24日、2009年上半期（1～6月）に最もよく歌われたVOCALOID曲の人気トップ10「VOCALOID系ランキング」を公表した。
上半期のカラオケランキングに、演歌・歌謡曲、アニメ・特撮・ゲーム、洋楽といったジャンルと並列で、「VOCALOID系」を設置。初音ミクや鏡音リン・レンなどで作られた楽曲のカラオケ人気ランキングを、1位～10位まで紹介している。
VOCALOID関連の楽曲の人気が高まったため、新ジャンルとして追加した。JOYSOUNDはVOCALOID曲を他社より多く配信しており、他社のランキングとの差別化という意味もあるという。
1位は「メルト」、2位は「ワールドイズマイン」、3位は「ブラック★ロックシューター」と、トップスリーは、すべてsupercellさんが制作した楽曲だった。
